I am a spayed female & I look like a American Staffordshire Terrier mix
The shelter staff think I am 1 year and 9 months old.
I'm Pearl! I'm 50lbs and full grown! I was found wandering around and brought to the shelter to find my owner. My owner was found but he wasn't able to reclaim me (he was having a family care for me during a move where he could no longer keep me) so now I looking to find a new home! He said that I am active, fearless, playful and griendly. I have lived with other dogs but have not been around cats. I slept in the house as I am housetrained and crate trained (and I am used to using a doggie door). I know my basic commands too! Here at the shelter, I am a sweet girl who enjoys hanging out with people and am a bit shy around new dogs. I like to play with toys, I like cheese and I like going on walks. I was selected to be in the FAMU Farm Program! This is a partnership with the Veterinary Technology Program at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU). Dogs are selected to spend time at the new state-of-the-art Veterinary Technology Teaching Center located at their farm. While residing at the Center, the dogs were cared for by the veterinary technology students and faculty veterinarians, and received any medical and surgical treatment that they needed. This unique partnership helps provide advanced veterinary care to animals that the shelter might not otherwise be able to provide, as well as additional behavioral information about how the animals behave outside of the chaotic shelter environment. If you are looking for a well behaved young girl with an affectionate personality, don't hesistate come meet me!
