Southeast Park

With the site plan finalized for the new Southeast Park (see below), a process which included a significant amount of community feedback collected at public meetings and online, construction began on the park in late November 2020. Through a competitive bid process, a private contractor was selected to complete the site work needed, while the City’s internal parks and recreation construction team works simultaneously to build the park amenities, with a few amenities scheduled for future development. Construction is anticipated to be complete in Summer of 2022.

The Southeast Park was approved by the City Commission in April 2018. It will be built on a 62-acre parcel bordered by Tram Road, School House Road and Four Oaks Blvd. Plans include new trees that will be planted throughout the park that will last for decades to come.
