COVID-19 Safety Procedures

TLH Logo

At Tallahassee International Airport (TLH), our number one priority is the well-being of our passengers. That’s why we’ve implemented a range of new procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for flyers.

These new enhanced safety procedures include plexiglass dividers at kiosks and counters, additional hand sanitizing stations, decals and signage encouraging social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols at contact points. Additionally, airport staff receive daily health screenings when reporting for work and are required to wear face coverings. Passengers are also required to wear face coverings in the airport terminal. Many airlines carriers, including those that serve TLH, also require face coverings on flights

As our community continues to endure the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are doing our part to help flyers get to and from their families, homes and other destinations comfortably, efficiently and safely.

Is the airport clean and disinfected?

TLH has greatly enhanced disinfection measures to safeguard our visitors. We’ve increased how frequently dedicated cleaning professionals are used and have implemented the continual cleaning of high-touch point areas. The airport is also deep-cleaned and disinfected every day.

Is the airport implementing social distancing?

TLH remains committed to complying with CDC and Department of Health guidelines and providing a safe, comfortable travel experience. This includes encouraging social distancing, which we have implemented through instructional graphics on flooring and seating areas along with informative public announcements and signage, plexiglass shields, and other protective measures.

How will my travel experience be different from before COVID-19?

The safety and security of passengers is our top priority, so TLH is implementing measures such as increasing the number of hand sanitizer dispensers, promoting social distancing in public areas, and the continuous disinfection of high-touch point areas.

Am I required to wear a mask in order to fly?

All airlines at TLH are currently requiring passengers to wear masks during flights. We recommend that passengers check with their specific airline prior to their flight to learn any specific requirements.

Will hand sanitizer be available for visitors and travelers?

Our staff is committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for our guests, and we are providing appropriate cleaning products and services. As an example, we tripled the number of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the terminal.

Can I bring hand sanitizer with me in my carry-on bag?

TSA is currently allowing passengers to bring up to 10-oz bottles of hand sanitizer in their carry-on bags. TLH is also providing numerous hand sanitizer stations throughout the airport.
