Grant Writing Workshop
The City of Tallahassee, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will offer a two-day grant writing workshop on Nov. 2-3. This workshop will help those who work in the fields of housing, development and redevelopment learn the basics of grant writing, as well as finding and applying for grants related to HUD programs.
The workshop will be held 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the City Commission Chambers, second floor, City Hall, 300 South Adams Street. Participation is free of charge to anyone interested in community and economic development programs, including nonprofits, for-profit businesses and individuals. Information presented in this workshop will help those interested in securing federal resources.
Attendees will learn how to develop strategies that bring resources together, leverage and build community assets and effectively implement programs. To be eligible for certification credit, participants must attend both workshop days.
