Tallahassee Police Make Arrest in Fatal Alabama Street Shooting

Today, Aug. 1, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) arrested one suspect in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred yesterday at the Time Saver, located at 1412 Alabama Street.
Following a swift and thorough investigation by TPD's Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined the victim and the suspect, Reamon Williams, were known to each other. Investigative efforts revealed the two engaged in a verbal altercation in the parking lot that continued into the store. The suspect subsequently shot the victim inside the store and fled the scene on foot. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation collected physical evidence and witness statements that helped detectives quickly identify Williams as the suspect and develop probable cause for an arrest. Williams turned himself in this morning and was taken into custody without incident.
