Project Share

Please login to your utility account and click the "Payment Programs" tab, fill out the form below or call 850-891-4968 to donate directly on your utility bill. To receive assistance from Project Share, please call Capital Area Community Action Agency at 850-222-2043 or visit their website.

Who May Donate: Any City of Tallahassee Utilities customer may donate one time or schedule recurring donations to Project Share right from their utility bill.

Who May Receive Funds: Only qualified City of Tallahassee Utilities customers may receive assistance. See eligibility requirements below. Candidate screenings to receive funds are held Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 a.m. at 309 Office Plaza Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32301.

Eligibility Requirements to Receive Funds: You must be a City of Tallahassee Utilities customer who has gone through a screening (see above) and also meets one or more of the following:

Sixty years of age or older
Disabled or handicapped to the point of not being able to maintain a sufficient family income
Has had income temporarily interrupted due to illness or injury, or other significant occurrence beyond the applicant’s control, including sudden loss or significant decrease in income resulting from natural disaster.
Has a verifiable medical condition or health hazard that will be aggravated or caused by loss of utility services.

Financial Assistance Amount Available: Amounts vary on a case-by-case basis

When the summer heat or the winter cold hits Tallahassee it can be an extremely difficult time for some local citizens. Fortunately, the City has a program that allows you to help those truly in need.

The city's Project Share program began in 1986, and since then has aided thousands of Tallahassee utility customers needing assistance. Project Share funds are administered locally by the Capital Area Community Action Agency through a screening process. Each application is carefully scrutinized to ensure the funds are used by those in real need.

All tax-free pledges are automatically transferred into the Project Share account, making the funds immediately available to help those citizens in Tallahassee who need it the most. Talquin customers can donate directly to Capital Area Community Action Agency.
