Deposits and Connection Fees

New residential utility customers establishing service will be able to pay deposits over the first three months billing. For information on Commercial deposits, please contact Customer Operations at 850-891-4968.

Are there deposits for residential services?
Yes, there are deposits required for each utility service. However, a letter from your previous or current utility company indicating at least one year of service with a good paying record may eliminate any deposit requirement. This letter should be presented at the time you request service.

Deposits for residential customers will be billed in three installments in addition to any normal charges on your utility bills. Residential deposits will be returned as a credit after three years if a customer maintains a good payment record or when the account is closed.

Are there service connection fees?
Yes, service connection fees apply to residential utility accounts that are new, transferring or if reconnecting after disconnection for non-payment. These fees reflect the cost of performing these services for you.

Connection Fees for new residential utility customers will either be billed in full on your first utility bill (for in person connections) or will be collected at the time of connection if you use the online service.
