For Existing Homes:
Rebates are subject to change without notice and are subject to approval.
The equipment must be installed in a permanent residence receiving City of Tallahassee permanent residential electric service.
To be eligible for rebates, purchased equipment must be ENERGY STAR (ES) certified residential consumer products currently listed on the ES website.
Refrigerators or freezers must be full sized as defined by ES (7.75 cubic feet or greater volume).
Rebate applications must be received within 90 days of the appliance purchase date.
Rebates cannot exceed the total installed cost for the appliance(s), which must be new appliances, not used.
To pay rebates, the brand and model number of equipment is required.
This application must be completed entirely for rebates to be paid.
Rebates are not paid to the equipment vendor or the installing contractor.
Rebates are not paid to the customer or property owner if ES rebates were paid earlier to the homebuilder.
Rebates are paid to the customer or property owner only for installations undertaken and completed after the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) date.
For New Homes:

In new construction, rebates are paid to the homebuilder (not the buyer, vendor or installing contractor) for appliance installations completed prior to issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy (CO).
Effective April 9, 2014 for multifamily new construction: Qualifying residential units must utilize natural gas for water heating. If natural gas is unavailable, and gas main extension to the site is denied by the City’s Gas Utility, units must utilize an ES certified electric water heater with Energy Factor (EF) 2.0 or greater; or ES certified solar water heating.

Rebates cannot exceed the total installed cost for the appliance(s), which must be new appliances, not used.
The equipment must be installed in a permanent residence receiving City of Tallahassee electric service.
To pay rebates, the brand and model number of equipment are required.
Homebuilders can apply for individual appliance rebates or for the new ES Certified Home rebate, but not both.
