Summer means very warm weather in the Tallahassee area - but that is what makes our region so active in the summer months! With offerings like Sand Volleyball and Track, it is a great time to be active. And, don't forget, Gymnastics are a great indoor activity and Aquatics are a great way to stay cool!

Adult Baseball

Parks and Recreation partners with TARBL (Tallahassee Adult Recreation Baseball League) to offer wooden bat adult baseball leagues for 32+ and 42+ age divisions. Registration is underway and runs through April 17. Please visit them to register or contact the league directly for more information.

Summer Adult Beach Volleyball Program

The adult beach volleyball program is for adults 18 years of age and older. Recreational and Competitive 4v4 leagues, as well as King of the Beach and Queen of the Beach 2v2 leagues are offered. Games are played on Monday night for 4v4 leagues and Tuesday night for 2v2 leagues. Games are played at Tom Brown Park. Every 4v4 team plays one game per week for 8 weeks and every 2v2 player plays 6 sets each week for 8 weeks. Registration for the 4v4 leagues is by team. If you are interested in playing but do not have a team, please contact the program supervisor listed below.

Youth Track

Summer Track Series

The Summer Track Series is presented by the City of Tallahassee Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Affairs Department and the Gulf Winds Track Club. All events will be hosted at Maclay School at 3737 North Meridian Road.

The Summer Track Series will begin on Thursday, June 1 and will occur every Thursday through July 20. The FREE eight week program is open to all ages and skill levels. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 6:45pm every Thursday in order to check-in for events. There is no pre-registration for events - you just arrive on the day of. All ages are welcome to participate.

Weeks 1, 3, 5 & 7 (June 1, June 15, June 29, July 13): 40-yard dash; 100m dash; 400m dash; 1 mile run; 5K run
Weeks 2, 4, 6 & 8 (June 8, June 22, July 6, July 20): 40-yard dash; 100m dash; 200m dash; 800m run; 2-mile run
