The Office of Inspector General (OIG) accepts complaints of potential fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement as it relates to the City of Tallahassee.  Your information will be reviewed and assessed for potential violations of governing laws, rules, policies, and procedures in order to determine proper handling.

When reporting fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement, you may remain anonymous if you wish; however, you are encouraged to identify yourself so we may follow-up on your complaint via email, phone call, or in person.  

When reporting information to the OIG, please be as specific and provide as much detail as possible. The more information you provide, the more thorough the OIG’s investigation can be.  Any relevant information or knowledge you acquire after making a report to the OIG should also be reported in a follow-up phone call.

Questions marked with an asterisks (*) are required for submissions. If sufficient information is not provided, an investigation may not be able to be conducted.














Note: In order to be granted Whistle-blower status your complaint must allege an act or suspected act of gross mismanagement, malfeasance, misfeasance, gross waste of public funds, or gross neglect of duty committed by an employee or independent contractor or any violation or suspected violation of any federal, state, or local law, rule, or regulation committed by an employee or independent contractor which creates and presents a substantial and specific danger to the public’s health, safety, or welfare.

Please provide the following information about the person(s), department, agency, entity, contractor or vendor about which you are alleging committed waste, fraud, misconduct, mismanagement, or other abuse.
