Wayfinding

Cascades Sign FinialThe Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department, working with local citizen groups and agencies, designed a Wayfinding Signage System recognizing eleven districts. This system provides effective signage with visual standards for presenting directional information. It complements other initiatives, such as the Multimodal Transportation District (MMTD), the Midtown Action Plan, and the City of Tallahassee Neighborhood First Plans.

Our Wayfinding System focuses on the three primary user interests - walking, driving, and cycling. Below are examples of signage for each purpose. To explore further, please visit the interactive Tallahassee-Leon County Wayfinding Map.
